I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome my very first follower - Hello Mr Matos! *salute*

I'm now officially on my way towards teaching myself about Typography, basing my final work around it hopefully. I figured if I'm going to apply for a MA in the subject, I should know a bit about it first! I really don't know what it is about type, I don't obsess about it in a graphic designer this-letter-has-to-line-up-with-this-dot way.... I just think words, letters, sentences, speech..... are lovely :)

I could rant for ages about how maybe language and communication is restricting but beautiful all the same but frankly Lost is on and I quite fancy just sitting back, chilling and well.... getting lost :) good night! X

Happy new year to you, dear readers that don't yet exist :D

I've had a bit of a bad time of it recently, which I won't go into because I'm determined to keep personal thoughts out! Basically in a short space of time I've confirmed that I'm needy, selfish, lazy, scatterbrained and indeed a bit insane. All will be sorted along the way I'm sure :)

Anyway! Was shown a WONDERFUL site the other day, my lecturer reckons it's the next Facebook (THANK F***!!) I can't remember the exact names but it's along the lines of imfeelingfine.com. Feelingfine? Feelfine? Have a look, it's vair clever. Basically, it does a search of the internet and aaaall the blogs in the world and displays any sentence that has the words "I feel" in it. Some very interesting entries come up! First one me and my dear friend Tigeress came up with was rather personal to someone *giggle*.

RIGHT! I will stop giving myself breaks due to my "rough time". Last day off tomorrow for work and my friends birthday and then hardcore work to be done! YEEAAAAHH!! I'm a good student really :D

Bill Bailey's right, that is a VERY depressing thing to call Christmas!

Good evening readers. Today started off quite badly and it's taken until just moments ago to finally feel better. I will choose my words carefully but some s*!~#^"£%6 thought it would be funny to put insulting stickers all over my work on the wall. Three stickers, which stated thus-
1) Severe lack of Creativity
2) Helvetica was an unimaginative choice
3) Delete this!

Some pretentious git with a fetish for "Design Police" stickers. Well, let me reply to these comments without further ado....

1) Basing your insult on one copy based piece of work that simply aims for easy communication - I hardly think slapping a load of pretty pictures and fonts applies here.

2) If you're going to insult me, make sure it doesn't backfire on you. By using stickers written in the Helvetica font. Unimaginative choice? Yes it was, wasn't it.... loser.

3) I have no answer for this except I hope your scalpel flips up and connects with your eyeball. Assuming you are one of the gangly cunts from Graphics. Excuse my language.

I also discovered this morning that my group and I are not on the shortlist for the YoungGuns award in Australia. Bit of a long shot, to be fair....... but a haloova a lot of money went into that. And for what? Not even a mention. All that fun and hard work, doesn't matter. Miami Ad School will always have more funds and equipment, how can a wee university in the welsh vallies possibly compete? Bet they didn't even look at ours.

Feeling better now as I said...... whatever I decide to do after this increasingly heartrendering course, I'm sure I will be happy. And that is all that matters, readers. If it's too stressful and it's making you be miserable to others, it's probably not worth it. Cup of tea and a good think later, you'll be off out all determined to try again though :) x

Shame this blog does not have a Helvetica option....... apparently I'M QUITE FOND OF IT >:(

Some movements of a pen - SPOTTED!

Hurrah! Finally, got some creative juices flowing and did some work!!!

It did involve my dear companion Katie taking her top off and pretending to orgasm for our photoshoot..... I'm sure it had absolutely nothing to do with it :-)

I'm still a bit stuck on Grazia.... so tempting to mark it as a dead duck but hell, I'm gonna crack at it for a bit more until I want to eat my own hand. Hasn't got THAT bad yet.... I'm sure some of you (?!) readers are familiar with "writers block" and the such. Generally just so drained of ideas and life starts to get hectic. I really need to quit my jobs. That's right, plural. Because I'm an idiot and don't know how to say "no" - apart from just then. I also need to stop wasting time on the internet and reading Harry Potter, again.

I don't count THIS as wasting time :) feel productive doing this, if there's one thing I love it's writing. Gotta put my overflowing thoughts down somewhere otherwise twill get messy!

The beginning of something Wonderful

Today is a good day. My good mood, however, still did not end with me feverishly beavering away at my sketchbook.

For those who do not know this already, I am an Advertising Design student, currently suffering a slight work block.

Actually I did do something! I wrote the words YoungGuns across one of the first pages. Very, very important that I did that....... I don't know what it is really. I'm lacking a brain, inspiration and equipment these days. If only we could open up the top of ours heads and say "LOOK!! ISN'T IT BRILLIANT?!!" instead of finding some forsaken way of putting it on paper!!

So it begins

I've always had the urge to start a blog of vague wonderings. 

....The pressure is too great, I'll start it properly later :)
